15 months later
-
Well it's 15 months later now. These irons are still going strong. The black finish is fine although it's is scratched up after hitting thousand of balls. These are the best irons I've every owned. It could be because when I bought them I purchased the Harrison Professional Shafts and had them trimmed to firm not stiff. That allows me at 62 years old to swing a little slower. So far this year my handicap has ballooned to 9 but that's because I'm not playing as much as in the past. I currently swing my driver at 94-98 miles an hour. Again, I love these irons.

Great clubs & Price
-
I bought these 2011 and shot an even round of 18 holes which hasn't happend in ten years. My handicap went down to 5 it's lowest ever. I didn't golf much in 2012 but still shot low-mid eighties for my 4 rounds. My plans are to get out more this year since my physical problems have been reduced. With these clubs I'm pretty sure I'll being doing just fine.

Just okay.

I bought a full set of these irons as I waited for the Cleveland CG7's to drop in price. I played the TR 950 for 2 seasons and then bought the Cleveland irons. If you strike the TR 950's on the exact sweet spot they preform well. Miss it towards the toe and huge loss of distance occurs, unlike the CG 7's. The peal finish wears off very fast. The groves on the short irons show a lot of wear. Cleaning them out removes the paint and some of the steel material. I ended up losing my Cleveland 9 iron and 6 iron so I continue to use the TR 950 9 and 6 irons and I feel they compromise my game a bit compared to the Cleveland CG7's they resemble. The TR 950's are okay clubs but a far cry from the real thing.

Details
The Tour Response 950 iron is designed for the golfer looking for ascetics, forgiveness, and workability. The classic design and mid-sole width is perfect for the player who is looking for a penetrating ball flight. Heel and toe rear cavity weighting helps to improve MOI for straighter shots on miss-hits. The black mirror finish has a great look and the black satin face frames the golf ball along with enhancing confidence at address.
- Comparable to the Cleveland® CG7 Black Pearl Irons
* - Over time the glass black finish will wear or change colors on the face and sole from contact with the ball and the ground. This wear however, doesn't affect the playability or the structural integrity of the club.
