Great for older guys
I started with the 3 & 4 Taylor Made Rescues included in a set I picked up. Never did very well with them. As I got older (now 66) lost distance and replaced them with fairway woods. Then I got the 5 & 6 T9's.... great move. Now I have the 5, 6,7,8,9 and 10.... yes the 10... combined with Pro force shafts. Hitting the ball like I did in my 40's only now it's straight. I still carry a couple wedges but doesn't everyone???

got the 6 and 7,Aldila NVS HYBRID 85s to replace my 6i[170plus] and 5i....these r long... way long, sweet and smooth ...late last month STUCK{spin, I don't need no stinkin' spin] the 7 to within 6 feet from a very nasty 40 degree uphill lie from 177# out; the pin was long left, 12'rt of a greenside bunker, OB 50' left of the green...1putt birdie...this shot stopped on a dime and I actually got 9 cents back...thank you Diamond Tour golf...also picked up the 12* Felon driver head with a stiff ALDILA Serrrano[also available from Ping as a very pricey up-grade].....4 drives well over 300*plus...and we r not even dialed in...this was after 10 range balls just b-4 the round in 42^ weather 1st time day out!...can't wait til spring...service a+++, quality a+++...if u r concerned about clones do not be...jump in the water it's fine..oh yeah I just turned 61

The cure if you're having trouble hitting irons as you get older. VERY forgiving and I've pick up the iron distance I've lost over the past few years. Only downside is that you won't spin the ball if that is important to you.

Great Purchase
I have always been better at hitting fairway woods and hybrids then with irons. I started by ordering a 6 (28 degree hybrid) and within a week I ordered a seven and an eight. I upgraded to the graphite shaft made by Garafalloy and these clubs have a great feel.

I am getting the ball to the green now, and not chunking iron shots. I am not blessed with great hand/eye cordination it takes to be a consistant ball striker. The T9's allow me to get through the ball and provide me with more consistant contact.

If your a pin seeker and can spin the ball, the higher lofts are not for you. If your like me and want to give yourself the best opportunity to get to the green in regulation, I highly reccomend these clubs.
