Well Made and well Played
I bought these two years ago from DTG. Most "modern" irons don't really work for me as they feel like swinging a shovel. Of course I started with blades when I was young and play traditional perimeter weighted irons (Ping, Armour, etc..). These are different. Extremely hittable and certainly correct on mis-hits.They are looong. I do sense some lack of feel, but that can be corrected by shaft and grip/grip tape choices (ask DTG and build to you). High handicappers might not care. However, the sting of a thin shot or shock of a fat is muted. Also, these are well made with good steel alloys. They are worth every dollar and play with name brands. If you dial in your distances you should save strokes.

Great head design, aimed at mid-handicap golfers.
I built a set of these for customer and was so impressed, I built a set for myself. I paired mine with Apollo Phantom shafts and added "sting stopper" inserts. All I can say is, WOW!. The clubs look and feel great and perform better still. Keep in mind that these are TM Speedblade clones, so the heads are a bit more compact and have less offet than "max game improvement" clubs. That all said, I hit some awesome shots with these. I've found my keepers...

Great iron heads!
I haven't been playing as much the past few years and decided to look into a more forgiving set of irons. I really liked the TM Speedblades but wasn't willing to pay the $700 asking price a year ago. Trying these component heads was definitely a good decision. Paired with a lightweight steel shaft, I've gained 20 yards on each iron. My normal shot shape is fairly straight but I've been able to draw and fade as needed. Mishits aren't so penalizing either. My only complaint is that I'm not getting as much feedback on my mishits as I've gotten with my previous irons. Overall, this is an excellent component head.

Excellent club heads
I purchased the LPT Velocity gap wedge and sand wedge. These are beautiful and excellent clubs. I purchased them to complete my Taylormade Speedline set that did not include these two clubs. They are fully compatible with my Taylormade set. I could not be happier. DTG was excellent to work with, and kindly helped me resolve a mistake I made on the order. This is a great company!

Similar, until you look closely
The "Velocity Slot" in these irons is only a 1/4" notch cut out of the sole. It is not a polymer filled pocket behind the bottom half of the face, like the TM SpeedBlade irons.

Awesome Clubs!
I am new to the game of Golf, and was using a hand-me-down set of irons until I decided to try these out. I am so glad I invested in DTG, the clubs are beautifully built, and they sound and feel great! Ive definitely noticed more straight shots, more fairways and more importantly, more greens. If you are thinking about buying these clubs, stop thinking and buy. They are worth every penny.

Details

The Turner LPT Velocity Iron incorporates an improved velocity slot in the long and mid irons, along with a deep and forgiving undercut that helps to increase accuracy, distance, feel and performance. By using a new ultra-thin steel face, the sweet spot is expanded more than ever before, resulting in a very consistent and forgiving iron. A clean profile, low center of gravity and the velocity slot technology delivers the optimized performance golfers are looking for. The short irons have a slightly higher center of gravity that helps to promote a better trajectory and put the ball close to the pin. AW,SW, and LW are blade style wedges for increased control. The LPT Velocity irons are a perfect set that combines technology, appearance, distance and precision that will help golfers of all levels.
