Almost Jealous
-
My son bought these with Sensacore shafts, which seem a great fit for these clubs. They're as long and easy to get airborne as any irons I've ever swung (in almost 50 years of play), with a correction for mishits that never feels forced. The 3 hybrid is long enough to serve as a lay-up driver. They also beat any game improvement iron I've ever swung for feel. After playing these, we've become DTG converts, happily buying wedges for both our sets.

Great Clubs
-
Was playing Taylor Made OS with dynamic gold shafts. I purchased the Grand Hawk with DT Nergy shafts. The Grand Hawk feels better and added distance. I can't believe clubs that cost so much less play so much better than the brand names.

Disappointed with feel
-
Bought a hybrid set with steel shafts. That was a mistake for me as my previous set were graphite and I should have stuck to that shaft material. The steel shafted club weight seems to be distributed along the entire length of the club, unlike the graphite shafted clubs where the sensation is that the weight distribution favors the clubhead. As a result it feels like I am swinging with a rigid piece of rebar in my hands. Maybe over time I will get used to the steel shafts but right now I am disappointed and have reverted to the older clubs.
On the plus side I really like the Turner Ablaze driver, 3 metal and 5 metal clubs (with graphite shafts of course) that I purchased at the same time.

Details
The Grand Hawk Evil Eye II Combo Series combines game improvement technology of irons and hybrids. The Grand Hawk Evil Eye II irons (5 through PW) are uncompromising when it comes to performance and feel in stainless steel irons. The lower and deeper center of gravity expands the hitting zone letting players of all levels strike solid shots. The expanded perimeter weighting and rear tunnel keeps the face on target for great accuracy.
The Grand Hawk Evil Eye II hybrid (3 and 4) has been specifically designed to provide golfers with more distance and forgiveness compared to high lofted fairway woods and long irons. The center of gravity is positioned lower and is in line where most golfers normally make contact with the ball. The idea is to hit shots that will fly further and land softer than standard long irons.
