- Unexpected Goodness

I was not entirely happy with the Armour Persimmon 400cc 9.5* I occasionally carried in my bag. The shaft, a "built for Tommy Armour" UST shaft, like most factory-issue shafts, just wasn't getting it. Looking for lower torque, feel and distance, I took a chance. Being a bore-thru head, I left the old tip in, drilled out and inserted 1 1/8" in the hosel bore. At the range, I found this shaft has great feel, med-low flight and better distance than the Fujikura Motore S in my other driver (Titleist 9.5*). At 75g, mid-kick and R flex, don't necessarily assume this shaft is not for you.

Matched a regular flex Grafalloy ProLaunch Platinum 75 to an oversized 12 degree DTG Felon head. The shaft more than handled the oversized 480cc head. It also lives up to the specs - mid-flight boring trajectory, excellent feedback and very tight dispersion. Visually, it has a handsome paint design that goes very well with the Felon's black finish. Finding the fairway is an easy task with this combination.
