    Great Shaft
I did not like the stock shaft that came in my Ping G driver. Someone recommended the Blackbird. On the very first tee shot I knew this one fit me perfectly. I am 67 and the R flex fit me like a glove. Great feel, nice trajectory and tight dispersion. I am also getting a good 20+ yards over the stock shaft. And the DTG price is unbelievable. My scoring is all about hitting good drives. Thanks DTG I think you have made my summer.

    More distance for old guy!
Used Long Tom off/on for 3 years. Im 72 losing distance (6hcp) Used 10d, reg shaft. Purchased Blackbird stiff shaft (Diamond Tour) & installed, then added 1.5 inch extension. This added 15/20 yards to my drive (235 to 255 yards). No loss of control, still straight. Yes length is over 48" - who cares? I'm loving it.

    What a shaft
The shaft in my Cobra Long Tom finally snapped (while putting the bag in the trunk) and this is an exact replacement. My Long Tom is 8 degree with an x flex Blackbird. At age 64, I can still play the back tees. What a weapon!

    Not for high swing speeds.
I wanted to love this shaft, installed in El Matador 9* head and it was an awesome pairing for the 10-15 drives I got out of the shaft. Snapped off at the hosel on the 4th hole today. Very disappointed is an understatement. I think the performance is great for those with slower swing speeds looking to regain lost yardage. Not so much for my fellow 320+ hitters just looking for every extra inch from the tee box. On a side note, the El Matador is probably the best driver head I've ever had the pleasure of hitting. I'll probably stick a nano 45 shaft in it.....very underrated i.m.o.

I can't imagine a better shaft for any price.
I have never played a shaft that performs as well as the blackbird. I have a senior flex in the 175 offset and it is great. I have a regular in a ping g25 and it is much longer than the original regular shaft. much higher and much farther. As of now I didn't trim either end of either shaft.

    The shaft can't be beat
I am 65 and I installed the blackbird in tour 175 offset driver without trimming either end. It is about 49 inches long and the ball just takes off long high and far. I have a brand new g 25 ping ,but the 175 goes a lot further. I used a senior flex shaft. I do have a regular shaft ordered for the ping. I can't imagine a better shaft.

    excellent base to work from
at age 62 my swing speed is declining, but is a lot faster at the start and middle of the round then near the end...fatigue....using the regular flex and the length of this club I did some math and came up with a plan...I trimmed 1.5 inches off the tip and then butt cut it to a 44.5 finished club length...the plan worked....played it today and it covered every situation and gave me a ton performance...I figured out that it is basically designed for my range of 86-97 and that is just what I needed....it handles the top end in the middle of my round and dose not whimp out on the low end durning my final holes when my swing speed drops off.
If you have same kinda deal and make your own clubs this is a great shaft to play with....
