Turner Ablaze Hybrid

The Turner Ablaze Hybrid Series clubhead is slightly larger than the previous Turner hybirds, and has a larger footprint to give a higher MOI and tremendous forgiveness for long and straight results. WOW!!!
Wow, is all I can say. Wasn't expecting much from a $15. club head but I can HONESTLY say that the TURNER ABLAZE HYBRID hit every bit as good as my Ping G Hybrids. I bought a used Ping Alta hybrid shaft on Ebay for $10., added a $1. brass shim [.355 to .370] and a $6. grip, I have $32. in a club that can equal or out hit a Ping G Hybrid that cost $179. +tax... Unbelievable!

Great heads
I have a pair of Taylormade Superlaunch hybrids, a 4 and a 5. Absolutely fantastic clubs. Great feel, great distance, great work-ability. I have judged every hybrid I have hit against these since the day I bought them. I have also told every person who would listen I would have a full set, from 4 to pitching wedge, if I could get them.

Enter the Turner Ablaze Hybrid. Spent a whole 30 bucks to get a 6 iron built and set to me. What a surprise to find my Superlaunch feel, distance, and work-ability in this cheap little head! So I bought the 7, 8, and 9 heads and built them.

Here are the results. All four of these new hybrids carry at least 10 yards longer than my titlist AP2s (yep I gave up those fancy name brand clubs for these clones) of the same number. I can power them through deep wet grass or pick them off hard packed dirt and mashed grass. I can draw them with ease and put a little fade on the ball if I work at it. I can also stop them dead on the green.

FANTASTIC!!!!!

Great buy for the money..You won't be sorry
I have to say I am very pleased so far. I purchased A 2,3, 4...I definitely have gained distance verses my 3,4,5 irons...I can hit these clubs better...I did upgrade the shaft and grips...Still a great buy...I took the 3,4,5, irons out of my bag and replaced them with the hybrids...I'm 68 years old and need all the help I can get...The clubs have a quality look at a much lower price...very good Customer Service... I just bought an 3 wood metal...so far so good...I say don't hesitate to try them...good golfing to you all...

very pleased and smiling
I am 62 years young. I have two torn muscles in my left shoulder. I purchased a 6 hybrid and had it fitted with a multi step shaft regular flex, one inch over standard length. I hit this club 165-173 yards accurately and with ease. It has replaced my 6 iron. I am ordering another one of these hybrids to replace my 7 iron. It will be built the same way. I highly recommend these hybrids. They are so easy to play. And so much fun!!

Love it
It's been two seasons. I have a 28 degree with an I-rod shaft and all my shots are in the middle of the face. I play it from 140 to 165 depending on the wind and the course. My buddies just look in disbelief when I hit the par 3's they can't hit with their 7 irons!

lLove these clubs
Guess what? This is my 2nd set. My 1st got real shabby looking and then I switched to traditional irons. I was very unhappy with traditionals so I switched back to Turner Ablaze with a new set. 5 thru PW. When you hit down on these clubs they really travel high and long. If you are a senior like me I know you will be pleased. Now I'm back in the game. I use a light weight shaft and weight down the head with mag. powder. This will give you more shock power. No more secrets. Oh, one more, I am std. length but I make them 1" longer than std. Good luck and most of all have fun golfing.

Great invention
I knew the hybrids were a great invention when they first came out. I also knew once they refined the technology on these they would be a great aid to any golfer, all the pros carry them now. I put together the 3 and 5 and they are great clubs a little heavy at first but a very solid feeling club. I just ordered the 4 and 6 and will closet some of my irons. If you are struggling with your irons or if you are a senior get these and get your game back.

May best in DT lineup...still
I built 3-6 (19*-28*) three seasons back and they are great. Re-shafted last year with Aldilla 105 NVS stiff, and get perfect trajectory. The 19* is my consistent 190 yd fairway, or long par 3 club. The 6 is 165 and right on. Oddly, after 3 full seasons, & 2 shafts, the 4 is always the outlier vis-a-vis accuracy. These have steeper lies than equivalent irons, so must be built slightly shorter and weighted unless the player is very tall. I also built two sets of the Airlift II's, one for me, and one for father-in-law. They did not compare well as to feel and distance. Pulled the shafts, will replace his with these. I hope DT keeps them around. The other Turner Rescue clone they have did not have the feel or ease of play. These are the best.

Pleasantly suprised
I had been struggling with every club in the bag and wanted to try anything to help my game. I decided to try this head in a 26 degree on a grafalloy shaft and take my 5 and 6 irons out of my bag because I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a club that I wouldn't continue to use. After I got the club together and gave the epoxy time to cure I took my new test club to the range and I couldn't have been happier with the results. The club looks good at address, has a good weight, and seems to set me in a position and have a feel that promotes an effortless swing. I have played for 17 years and this is the first "clone club" that I have tried and I'm truly pleased.
