Therapy on a stick
-
I had to come back to post an update. After a few months now of using this putter, I have a whole new relationship with putting. My old habitual fear of it is gone. In my last round, I was having some other problems, so I kept having to sink 4-8 footers for par. In the old days, I'd have made fewer than half. I made them all--and I had no real doubts that I would. It's like therapy on a stick.

A great putter for bad putters.

Buy this putter if you are a bad putter. I have been playing for over 50 years, and putting has always been my weakest link. I once played a round in which I reached every green in regulation, and I did not break par. I have played five rounds under 80 in which I took more putts than other strokes. I am the ultimate bad putter. I broke this one out of the box, practiced for about 5 minutes, and went out to play. I sank my first three putts, from an average distance of 15 feet. On the day, I took 8 putts fewer than my average. It has a beautiful feel, somewhat heavy but without being too strong. You can put some swing into the putt even at short distances without pounding it too far. It swings itself true through the putt, resisting fades and pulls. I was playing solo matched up with three other solos, and they all wanted to get a closer look at my putter. Oh, and get the headcover too. You'll want to protect this one.

Fantastic

I'm a regular weekend hack like lots of golfers. I've been playing on and off for 40 years. I bought a ZMBE with a Superstroke 1.0 for myself (32") and my son (35"). The putter makes kind of a tink sound when you hit the ball but I've made more long putts this year than in the last 5 years total. The big difference is it's a lot easier to hit the ball with the center of the putter. Way less toe and heel shots that go off line. This putter works for both myself and my son. At this price it's a steal.
