One swing. One setup. Consistent results.

The SMT EQ Single Length Iron Series is designed around the concept of single length iron technology, where every iron in the set is built to the same length, weight, and lie angle.

By utilizing a 7-iron length throughout the entire set, the EQ Series allows golfers to repeat the same setup and swing on every iron shot. Only the loft changes from club to club, helping simplify ball position, stance, and posture for more consistent contact.

Built to simplify the game without sacrificing performance.

Traditional iron sets require multiple swing adjustments due to changing club lengths and lie angles. The EQ Series removes that complexity, allowing golfers to focus on making one reliable swing instead of compensating throughout the set. The result is improved consistency, accuracy, and distance control across all irons.

Forgiveness and playability for golfers of all skill levels.

Each iron in the EQ Series is engineered specifically for the single length concept, utilizing hollow-body construction and game-improvement features to promote easy launch and stable ball flight. The design delivers confidence-inspiring forgiveness while maintaining predictable performance from long irons through short irons.

The SMT EQ Single Length Irons are built for golfers seeking simplicity, consistency, and repeatable performance throughout the set.

Single length iron design for consistent setup and swing
7-iron length, weight, and lie angle throughout the set

Never knew I needed these: I will admit, I was concerned and al.ost regretted buying cheap clubs, up until the arrived. Holy smokes these things feel fantastic. I thought single length was gimmicky but gave it a go with the price of these. I don't think I will go back. When you hit that perfect golf shot you absolutely know it. That and being a cavity back iron, they are very forgiving. Only thing I wish it had was a 4iron. I may call SMT and ask about that.Club quality is really good. I would not hesitate to buy these again or suggest them to anyone looking into single length irons.

SMT EQ Single Length Irons: Due to age, I am moving from blades to irons that provide some help. For no particular reason I decided to go with single length irons and these are nice. It has taken me some time to get used to these irons, but I am slowing getting the hang of it and am finding them to provide the help I was seeking. No gain in distance but make solid contact much more often. Got quick service, but I ordered regular shafts and got stiffs. I didn't send them back, but wish I had (regular would probably have helped my transition).

update: Earlier I noted that I got the wrong shafts in my irons/this is an update to that input. I was contacted by SMT and they not only sent me clubs with the requested shafts, but also changed some of my earlier specifications to better suit my game. Also, I was allowed to keep playing the earlier set until I got the new irons! Now that is class.

Nice but not for me.: Nice looking clubhead, but after playing golf for 65 years, I cannot seem to adapt to the single length concept.

Dropped handicap 8 points.: These irons feel great. I have more confidence in my swing. And in main part due to single length irons and fairway woods, I lowered my handicap 8 points this season!

You need to try these!: I went and got the 48° wedge as a trial before I decided to go ahead and get the whole set. Went to the range and every hit was like butter, even the mishits.

One length clubs: I am a club builder, I have a client that is 6’ 6” tall and weighs in at 325. He could not use traditional clubs , I searched for an alternative. SMT EQ was the best option for him. He loves the fact that he can make one swing with different clubs and get great results. The quality and look of these clubs are great. I foresee more of my clients wanting them especially senior players, both men and women. Do you make women’s in one length? So far very impressed..

So far, so good: I am an older golfer, almost 70 and like so many my swing is inconsistent. The notion of using one swing by having the same length shaft was intriguing and appealing. They do take some adjusting to as you would expect. Using them in a simulator bay (Winter here in WI), my observations are that the 7 iron distance is comparable to my Ping irons, the 5 & 6 are a little shorter but the 8-W are a little longer. My typical swing speed is 85-90 mph throughout the irons so now it is all about ball position and execution. Simple, right? ????Looking forward to getting ready for the season just as soon as the weather improves.
