What a bargain!
I am 67, carry an 11.5 index, and hit my 7 iron about 150 yards. I had FGS Tour Launch 70 shafts (stiff) on all my irons for a few years and was very satisfied with the performance. Problem was, my iron shots tend to fly very high. The result was usually good, but some of my short-iron shots looked like they’d never come down. The Tour Launch shaft is described as high launch. I broke a couple of shafts (wear and tear, not product quality) and decided to re-shaft my 6 through 9 irons with the FGS Plus Iron to experiment with a lower launch angle. I selected the R/S flex and trimmed to stiff flex. The result has been very good. The shaft has more flex than the Tour Launch, but that hasn’t resulted in less accuracy. It does tend to exhibit a slightly lower flight path and a little more distance, particularly on well-struck shots. More importantly, they feel smooth and respond well to my average swing speed – no need to “muscle” a shot. I have hit a lot of very good shots with these shafts and just order more for the rest of my irons. What a bargain!

Got Some Distance Back
Some history. I have Ping G5 irons. The offset on the heads helps to reduce a slice. I hook the ball so the offset just made things worse. I bought a set of iron heads from DTG last summer with less offset than on my Ping irons. I put steel shafts in them and was not to happy with the distance BUT ball flight was great, no hook. I am 64 years old and losing distance. I purchased FGS iron shafts and put them in the DTG iron heads. Tip trim was 1/4 inch more than regular flex. Shaft length is 1/2 inch longer than standard. I am amazed at the feel and response of this shaft. It loads and releases perfect for my swing. I'm hitting my 7 iron about 150 yards now. Advice to older golfers--- Put your pride aside and try these shafts. You won't be sorry.

Top-notch shaft
I have been playing golf for over forty years, and custom building for over 25 years. The FGS Plus iron and wood shafts are the best I've ever used for the price. Multiple customers have commented on the feel, weight, and consistency from one club to another, and the value one gets for the price. The varying colors have also received positive feedback. Wouldn't use another shaft unless specified by the customer.

The FGS Plus has been redesigned for a higher performance level. The lighter weight in both the iron and wood shafts will increase club head speed for greater distance. The low torque will help to keep the ball on line with the flag or the fairway. The medium tip is great for players looking for better feel and optimal launch angle. The FGS Plus is our best seller in the FGS family and can be used in most iton and wood heads. Don't let the price fool you, the FGS Series has all the features that you would normally see in a much more expensive shaft.
