First a little about me... Im about a 12, play a couple times a month and I am a hopeless tinkerer when it come to clubs, grips, shafts, etc. I am always buying and selling clubs and since I only purchase "previously enjoyed" clubs, I am constantly re-gripping. I build/fix clubs as a hobby and do all of the shafts and re-grips for friends and family. So that being said..... I have tried them all and I keep coming back to these. They perform in all conditions and you simply can not beat the deal on these grips. I have heard all of the critics of components and private labels talk about premature wear, and "feel" but honestly, if you can tell me that you feel a 5-6 dollar difference (per grip) between these and a set of Lamkins or GPs, I'll eat your sand wedge. Love these. I have played them for years and do not find an tangible difference between these and the name brands. Like any grip, keep them clean and they will perform flawlessly. And even if they you think they wear a little quick and you have to change them every year.....you can do so 5 TIMES and still break even on ONE set of GP Tour Velvets!!! Look, Golf Pride, Lamkin, Pure, Winn etc, all make great products, but they are simply not worth the extra money compared to these. I can't justify spending as much on grips as I did on the sticks themselves. Buy with confidence!
Feel Price/Value Playability
- Standard fare grip - not bad but not my first pick
The texture and feel is of the typical standard grip. It stayed tacky and pliable even in 20F ambient.
