Real easy to hit
-
I just built these on the 14th and took them on the course on the 16th. I began without hitting any balls prior to the round and was either on in regulation or lurking. I shafted these up with Harrison professionals (S) tipped an extra 1/2" from another set that DT had built for me a few years prior and these are just very easy clubs to hit straight from all lies.
The fit and finish was perfect and the weights were spot on. I was looking for GI clubs as I don't get out as often anymore and just wanted some clubs which make the game easy. These fit the bill.
Great job DT as I received my shipment super fast and complete as usual. Too bad as I think I picked up one of the last sets as these are a winner.

Straight Shooter
-
These wide-soled deep cavity irons are designed to go straight and high.
Mission accomplished.
I've only tried these at the range where they are spot-on with distance and they do hit very straight.
What is not mentioned in the description above is there is some ability to shape shots due to the aggressive old-school grooves. I've come away with ball cover embedded in the 3rd groove playing cut/fade shots at the range. A tee point cleans the groove out easily.
Very forgiving club on less than well struck shots, and the groove design really spins the ball on approach shots.
While I prefer my blades for tournament play, these should be great fun for those lazy, cart-golf days when concentration is set aside for fun.
I rate them 9.5 out of 10, as a very playable Super Improvement CB.

The DTG GS-45 Iron is designed with game improvement features but with the feel of a players iron. To achieve the soft feel, the iron is casted from 304 stainless steel which enhances feedback and workability. The game improvement features are enhanced by having a rear undercut channel that lowers the center of gravity and improves playability. The iron has classic lines and appeals to players of all levels. This is the perfect design for golfers looking for the ideal blend of feel, forgiveness, and workability.
