- Very solid, good performing driver head

I decided to try the DTG El Matador driver head, and shafted it with a regular flex graphite wood shaft (A-Game MV-65, 3.5* torque, 45" driver length). This driver head is really a pleasant surprise! It feels and sounds very solid (no hollow "tink" sound). I'm a little better than a bogey golfer (maybe 15-handicap) so I don't usually hit most of the fairways, but with this driver I've been more accurate than usual. Distance is as good as, or slightly longer than my typical drives. A quick funny story about the bright red color of this head is that the last time I played I was paired with a guy who was hitting a Nike Covert driver that is also fairly bright red, so my DTG El Matador fit right in! :-) But seriously, this is a really good driver head and I'm glad I bought it.

I can't believe noone has reviewed this head yet. Long story short, it's a beast. Pair it with a Blackbird shaft or the FGS Nano 45 (spined and flo'd) and a winnlite grip and you can't go wrong. It has a somewhat muted sound compared to most big drivers, and it has a very solid feel. Best of all, it's stupid long and remarkably forgiving. I've only hit 50-60 balls so I can't attest to long term durability, but the performance is second to none. I'd put it up against SMT, Geek, Krank or any of the big names with the multi million endorsements.

The DTG El Matador Driver is a joint effort between Diamond Tour and Dr. Lu Hanmin who has designed drivers for some of the biggest names in golf. By utilizing EET Face Technology, the DTG El Matador greatly expands the ultra-hot sweet spot of the driver and makes this model super forgiving and extremely long. Normally when a driver is miss hit, the “spring effect” is diminished. But with EET face technology, the driver will react more like a perfect center strike. The head design is very aerodynamic which helps to increase clubhead speed and the red and black paint scheme makes a statement!
