What is the difference between forged and casted clubs?
A Forged iron head is made from one solid piece of steel that has been heated and cooled while being forced into the shape of the club head. This tends to give the player more “feel”.
An iron head that has been Cast means it was liquid steel poured into a preformed mould. When the steel cools the cast is removed and the head is polished.
Please remember that a forged head and casted head can be made from the same blends of stainless steel. Normally, most forged irons use a softer steel in the forging process than is used in a casted iron. Some manufactures do use a softer steel in thier casted clubs.
