What is Spine Alignment?
A spine can be visualized as a longitudinal line or plane on a golf shaft that is more resistant to bending than any other line or plane. By locating the spine it can be placed in a predetermined position. Every clubmaker has their own preferred positioning, we use 9 o'clock. The goal is to facilitate repeatability via a stable plane.

Frequency matching insures that all shafts in the set have the same CPM/flex rating. Spinning places that variable in a neutral position. This gives the player a set of clubs that will be consistent throughout the set and feel the same through the swing.
