What is a ferrule?
The purpose of a ferrule is to provide a smooth transition from the shaft to the larger diameter of the hosel. The ferrule is a purely cosmetic item and serves no purpose which will affect the clubs performance. Ferrules come in different shapes and sizes along with a few other bands of colors to dress up a club.
