I bought these irons with the standard steel shaft, over a year ago. I have compared them with my Cleveland TA-6s, MacGregor M455s and Armour 845FSs. All of the above are fine iorns, but the Hattons have the most compact head, and a soft feel that compares with the larger, forged MacGregors. They are an easy to hit club, fairly forgiving, and easier to control than the other sets, which all have a longer blade. The sweet, soft feel of their forged heads, combined with the more compact club head make for a very playable iron. They are as forgiving as the other sets, with the M455 probably having a bit larger sweet spot. With the value they represent, and the feel a forging offers, they are a real bargain. I would not hesitate to buy them again.

Great irons I just built a set with UST graphite shafts and have been hitting these really nice. I have not hit a 4 iron for a couple of years but these are so easy to hit I am hitting the 4 and may build the 3 and see how that goes. A full club longer than what I was hitting, very happy not sure you can get anthing better than these.

I assembled these heads with TTDG SL R300 shafts. I can feel the ball again. I get mid-high ball flight. Good feel chipping around the green. A deffinte must have for the golfer who wants performance, feel, and forgiveness.
