I'm 6'5" and I've been building my own clubs for a very long time. I asked the Diamond Tour support staff for advice because I was not happy with my current irons. They suggested the XP-28's. I matched them with a set of True Temper Black Gold shafts that I had. The feel and distance is terrific. First set of irons I can say truly match my swing. Very solid. Thanks for the advice.

purchased the A wedge and lob wedge, always wondered how they stop a wedge on a dime. Get these wedges, I had to remember to fly the ball to the pin, these things stop the ball on a dime. Going to order the complete iron set soon as I write this. thanks

I paired these clubs with the Evil Eye driver and woods and have noticed great improvement in my game. After a couple of buckets at the range, I was able to adjust to the extra length and lie adjustment I needed for my body size. I still have a bit of trouble hitting the hybrids well, but am knocking the dimples off the ball with everything else! Even when I don't quite hit it centered, I get great flight and little hook or slice. Before, my ball would turn so much it needed a blinker! My swing still isn't perfect and once in a while I'll shank one, but those shots are now so few and far between. My scores have dropped and my confidence has skyrocketed. I just wish I had looked into custom clubs sooner and I am nothing but thrilled with this set.

Built a set of irons with these heads, 4 thru PW. I used the True Temper Release Sensicore shafts and the Winn midsize Excel grips. These are not only beautiful looking heads, the are forgiving, have great feel and great feedback on every shot. They are also very long...about 15 yards per club than my Adams Ovations which were MUCH more expensive. I highly recommend these heads for ANY golfer, you will be as thrilled as I am.

I have played the X-22 irons and the XP-28 heads are better, in my opinion. They are superior in that I can build them to lengths the "Name Brand" won't build, with shafts they don't stock. The look/feel of the heads is nearly identical to the name brand. The finished product is far better than an off-the-shelf "stock" X-22, for a lot less money.

I was wringing my hands over this one. Not because of the price of the heads but the assembled clubs, with high end shafts and grips, were enough that I was approaching about a third of the Calloways. Still a great deal... unless they didn't perform. Well, clearly I went this way... and... they do perform. I was slightly disappointed that they don't have the 360 degree groove... but, hey, who cares if the results are there. They hit the same, I got a custom lie and a much better shaft than the Calloways... for a third the price (or more, if you figure in the lie and the better grips and shafts). I'm very happy with this purchase and this company. Great and fast service, too.

Just what I was hoping for. Bought the components and put them on spined Dynamic Gold High Loft S300 stiff shafts. Concentrating on a smooth easy swing, getting the same distance as my crappy 20 year old Spaulding irons. 150yds = easy 7 iron. These irons are forgiving, but offer feedback so you know when you don't make perfect contact. The good news is, even with less than perfect contact, the ball still does almost what you were hoping for. Very forgiving. Good feel. Some shot shaping, but reduced compared to a muscle back or tour iron. The forgiveness is exactly what I was looking for. These irons make me a more consistent golfer and exceed my expectations. I am playing with more confidence. The finish quality of the heads is right there with the real thing! I haven't hit the real x-22s, but I couldn't be more impressed with these!!! I was considering the Acers, but took a chance and went with these, even though there were not many reviews. I am so glad I did!!! Even my golf pro buddy who is a Callaway rep was impressed. To me that spoke volumes. Way to to Diamond Tour! You have earned a loyal customer. ...

I just received my new XP-28's and they are going to take some getting used to. I'm hitting these puppies two clubs longer than my old set! What a fantastic set of irons. This should take a few strokes off the score. Thanks DT Golf!

I bought these after hitting X-22's. Been a Taylormade loyalist for 3 years now, and they had helped me get my handicap into the single digits. I had been wanting to get into more shot shaping and spin control, so a Tour Series was the way to go. Unfortunately I didn't have the money for the Callaways, but I had purchased a replacement wedge earlier from Diamond Tour, and loved it, so I figured what the heck right? I have not been dissappointed so far. I've hit probably 650-800 balls with them now, with 2 18 hole rounds. The workability of these clubs is honestly better than the brand name, in my opinion. It's been 4 years since I've been able to hit controlled low/hi draws/fades. With my Taylormades if a draw or fade came out, I was happy. Shots are very penetrating, and with the shorter irons I'm pulling the skins off of Top Flite balls. So guess I've gotta move to harder cover ones. Spin is very high with the longer irons as well, with a nice rising flight. No need to help the ball into the air, it'll rise all the way up there, and land as soft as a hybrid. This penetrating feature is a bit of a downer on the pitching/gap wedge, as I'd rather just have a consistent, high flight, but it's just my preference. Distances are very consistent when hitting straight standard loft shots, running 15-18 yds between clubs, depending on the club. Pros: Penetrating flight, workability, GREAT spin and distance control. Cons: I personally would have added a degree of loft to each club, since these are for slightly lower handicappers, but hey, it's just me. I'd recommend this club to those who consistently can rely on all their irons, including long, and are looking to make the move from mid handicap to lower, and are beginning to feel hamstrung by their clubs. Certainly made a believer out of a couple of skins LOSERS on the course. 4 stars instead of 5 is only for the loft preference. ...

Wow!! After ordering these clubs I kept my fingers crossed that they would give my golf game a boost. Within five days! Five days! These bad boys showed up at my door! First off they look amazing, even better than the picture. After hitting them at the driving range I honestly have to say that these are the smoothest feeling clubs I have ever hit. I kept going through each club one at a time, ball after ball, and it seemed impossible to not hit a crisp shot. I went with the stiff flex DT Lite Steel by True Temper shafts, and the ball seems to fly longer and higher than my old clubs. The price is a dream come true for a broke college student looking for custom clubs! Thanks Diamond Tour! I have golfed almost everyday this week!

Getting back into golf after a 10 year layoff. I bought these XP-28 after hitting the real X-22s and I have to say they are on par with the name brand in feel, accuracy and distance. I need ALOT of work on my game and these will help exceed my goal to be a better golfer than I was a decade ago. I would not hesitate to recommend these to golfing buddies.
