any of you guys do both?
do you feel so stiff that your back swing doesn't go as far as it should?
just wondering if there is anybody out there with the same problem and how you solve it  |

Steven,
One of the most important things to think about when lifting weight and try to maintain or improve you golfing ability is that flexability is everybit as important as strength. Make sure to incorporate stretching with your work out routine. Also if you lifting weight to hit the ball farther or to get better at golf to make sure the core muscles and legs are well developed. These are far more important lower scores and longer drives the big biceps and triceps.

hey jeff,
well, weight lifting is not to hit the ball farther... it's just to stay in shape and tone up muscles...
but yeah, i've noticed that after weight lifting session, i ain't that flexible and can't even backswing properly
i'll take your advice and do more stretching before and after!
