I had my friend build me some clubs and he had a real hard time getting the ferrules to slide up the shaft. They were very tight, especially after trimming the shaft for a mid flex. The shafts are graphite. I ordered the ferrules and shaft from your company. This is mainly the case on the 9 iron and pitching wedge. I'm wondering if he trimmed more than he should have. Your input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. |

Unless he took a significant amount more off then he was suppose to that shouldn't be the case. Most ferrules are designed to fit snug so that they don't move when playing. Most of the time when the ferrules are exceptionally snug is because the shafts weren't tip prepped enough. You don't want to go to far but you have to remove all the clear coat and even some of the paint from the tip of shaft so that the epoxy bonds properly to the shaft and the head.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Jeff |
