Hi all. This is my first post, but I had to share since I just received my very first order from DT.
This is part of what I shared with a wonderful sales manager:
I could not be more pleased so far. The clubs look great!!! I took the PW to the yard (we have the obligatory pitching practice area in the backyard courtesy of a 14 year old golf afficianaddo). I compared the wedge to the one I have been struggling with...the DT wedge was considerable shorter, which made me wonder. I no longer wonder... in about ten minutes I was able to get more loft and accuracy than I have ever had. I also had to back up because I was getting more distance with the same speed and swing.
I am heading for the course in a couple of hours to see what happens, but I can tell you now that the clubs fit me better than what I have been using, and feel wonderful when I take a mock swing. BTW, I was bidding on a set of Callaway X-18 irons on an online auction...I let those go just a few minutes ago; I just do not see why I need them with what I have now.
I want to add that the quality makes a great first impression, and the customer service has held my hand the whole time I waited for my order. I practiced with some Callaway X-18s a few days ago, and I did notice some differences in feel, but I am actually smoother with the DT clubs. I think that if I had a "do over" I would opt for a bit better grip and a slightly lighter shaft. However, what I ordered is equal to what a couple of other sites offer as an upgrade anyway. I will probably go ahead and have the clubs regripped just because I want some slighlty more personalized and dynamic grips (sorry DT, my fault) but it is not necessary as the grip quality is just as good as any of the clubs I already have.
I did get a putter too; a TM clone mallet style putter. I have used the same TM before, so I can actually compare. I would have to say that the putter is better than what I presently carry, but does not have the feel of the TM brand. I have to point out that there was a $100.00 difference in the price between the two putters. Therefore, the balance and feel of my clone is WELL worth the price (and more)!!!
I will add more comments after my outing this afternoon!!! |
