I’m thinking of getting the Z Force Reflex X3 Driver but not sure of the loft I should get the 10 or 12 degree loft. I will probably be getting the FGS Tour Launch 50 wood shaft R flex +1. I currently am using a 400cc Titanium head 10.5 degree on an older UST Proforce 55 gold shaft low torque R flex that seems to be about an inch longer than other drivers. A good drive for me is 220 yards. Most are a little shorter. I am short but usually straight and in the fairway. My ball flight seems to take off like my longer hitting friends, not noticeably higher or lower, but once the ball starts it descent it drops very quickly instead of keep gaining some yards as it comes down and getting little roll. Being a short hitter carry is important to me. I would rather give up some roll and a little total distance if the ball will carry farther because sometimes I have trouble reaching the fairway or carrying water.
Also, since my current driver is about an inch longer than most newer drivers am I right in getting the new shaft +1. I like the feel of the longer club and I think it's supposed to give a little more distance.
Thanks for any advice.

Budder,
With where you are at with your current driver and the results you are explaining. I would tend to recommend the 10* of loft with the Tour Launch 50 shaft in it. The 10* obviously has a lower loft but the Tour Launch shaft has a lower kick point then the UST which is going to result in a higher ball launch. Plus going with a lighter gram shaft should increase the club speed slightly. As far as adding length the average golfer will normally not pick up much length by going an inch longer. This is because the swing weight increases and you accuracy decreases. So basically the length you hit the ball seldom increases distance more then 5 yards but the accuracy tends to decrease as much faster rate. Therefore I would go with the 10* and the FGS Tour Launch 50 at 45 inches. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Jeff

Thanks for the advice. I will be ordering soon. Still deciding on the driver head. Z-Force or one of the Snake Bites.
