Just went through a shaft evaluation for my irons. I wanted to switch from UST V2s _77 grams_ to something heavier, and in steel. I'm a 4.8 hdcp. My ball just seemed dead coming off the graphite, and my teacher agreed. I ordered three different from DT, and pulled my 6 iron.
The DT Nergy was very satisfying on two important fronts. The overall feel of the club-- it's a pretty heavy shaft at 133 grams, and I felt like that weight smoothed out my tempo and improved my finish. The other was impact-- I felt like I could really do some "damage." The club got through the turf better.
Bad thing-- on mishits. I felt quite a severe vibration on shots that really weren't too bad.
